Who this applies to

These terms apply to anyone using simplemoney-tools.co.uk, the free Budget Tracker spreadsheet, and the Personal Dashboard Chrome extension — including its paid Pro upgrade.

No financial advice

Simple Money Tools provides software tools, not financial advice. Nothing on this site or in any linked tool — including figures, dashboards, or portfolio summaries — should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, save or invest in any particular way. Always use your own judgement, and speak to a qualified financial adviser for advice specific to your situation.

Using the free tools

The Budget Tracker and Personal Dashboard are provided free of charge, "as is", with no uptime or accuracy guarantee.
You're responsible for the figures you enter and any decisions made using them.
Third-party data shown in these tools (e.g. weather, crypto/stock prices) comes from external providers and may be delayed, inaccurate or temporarily unavailable — Simple Money Tools does not control these providers.

Personal Dashboard Pro

Pro is a one-off £5 upgrade inside the Personal Dashboard extension — not a subscription, and not a separate install. Payment is handled by ExtensionPay on its own checkout, so card details never reach this site or the extension. Its integrations are read-only: Trading 212 and Strava data is read and displayed, never written to, and credentials stay on your own device (see the Pro privacy policy). If Pro does not work as described, email SimpleMoneyTools1@gmail.com and a refund will be arranged.

Intellectual property

The Simple Money Tools name, logo and site content belong to Simple Money Tools / James Bowen unless otherwise stated. The Budget Tracker and Personal Dashboard are provided for personal use; redistribution or resale without permission isn't permitted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simple Money Tools is not liable for losses arising from use of these free tools, including financial decisions made using them. This section is intentionally cautious pending full legal review, and should not be treated as a complete or enforceable liability waiver until reviewed.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as tools change or new ones are added. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
